On-line Dental Billing and Coding Instructors
Education: Expert level
1. Bachelors Degree
2. CDC or CDC-S Required
3. CPC or CCS-P a plus but not necessary
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Answer students daily questions, comments, and concerns.
2. Post weekly assignments.
3. Grade weekly assignments and provide students constructive feedback.
4. Instruct students on how to navigate the online learning environment.
Specific Job Skills:
Able to communicate well with others and take direction from superiors. Must have at least five years in dental billing and coding as well as a good understanding of medical coding and billing guidelines. Ideal candidate is dually certified as CDC (Certified Dental Coder) and CPC (Certified Professional Coder).
Computer Skills:
Must be computer literate (i.e. working knowledge of Microsoft word), must be familiar with chat rooms.
