Can I bill D1110 with D4342 on the same day

There are no restriction to bill these two codes together for the same DOS. However, you want to make sure you are include supporting documentation as to why you performed both procedures on the same day and the time involved. Make sure to include chart notes that document BOTH planning and scaling were performed, not just scaling. Indicate the patient has active perio disease and is in active perio treatment, include their perio condition Class I,II,III. Provide 1-3 teeth numbers for each quadrant planned and scaled, Document the remaining quadrants were not planned or scaled, that plaque, calculus and stains were removed for the remaining quads. Include perio chart, and FMX along with current BWXs if possible.

Can you bill a pro on one day of service for the initial visit and then ask the patient back for an SRP and bill out SRP on another day of service? Also, is there any restriction on time on when to bring the patient back for SRP after the apro?

An established patient came to the office, patient was due for a perio chart, perio chart indicated class II perio disease on quads #1 and #2, but no bone loss on quads #3 and #4. Therefore, completed a pro on the bottom two quads and patient will be back in 2 weeks to complete the SRP needed for the top two quads. Was explained to me that we cannot bill out a pro and then bring patient back in 2 weeks to complete the SRP. Is this correct?

Agree, you can report them both on the same DOS. You will want to include x-rays and periodontal chart with the claim(which is the least you would want to file with the claim). Be proactive with your documentation and know what the patient's insurance requires. If you do not, the insurance will deny and you will be at least 30 more days before the claim is reprocessed. Documentation and proving medical necessity will be your biggest help.
