If the surfaces do not touch on a multiple surface restoration would it be appropriate to bill two single restoration codes indicating the surface? (i.e. distal and mesial surface that are not touching) or would it be appropriate to bill 1 two surface code?

No, the code clearly states it is by tooth surface. Whether or not the decay touches has no bearing on the code.

I just want to be clear...If the surfaces are MO and a separate buccal abfraction, if it is by surface - does that mean they can code for the MO and the B separately?
