Most insurance plans do not cover implants for birth defects or implants on deciduous teeth. But the treatment plan should be to-ext and place implant.

      Implant on a deciduous tooth? No insurance company is going to cover that. Space maintainers can hold the space until the permanent comes in. Parents are definitely going to pay out of pocket if an implant is done.

        I am an adult that had no permanent teeth to replace my extricated deciduous teeth. So in my case no space maintainer would have been covered nor needed. So my case would have falling under the no coverage for birth defect.
