what is the difference between dental codes D4266 and D7956
I was charged code D4266 by my dentist and my insurance changed it to code D7956 and they covered it. I had to pay out my pocket for code D4266. Should I ask for a refund for the D4266 charge?

If a tooth is extracted should D7956 Guided tissue regeneration be used, or is this only for when the tooth is already missing

Is there a specific ADA code for a diagnostic wax up?
    Admin October 21, 2014 1:26 pm
This is considered the same as a diagnostic casts(study models, diagnostic models), in essence it is a working mold. Therefore, the appropriate code would be D0470

Is there a code that can be used when a patient comes in and has a bone spur removed. This is being done when an extraction was not done at our dental center.
    Admin December 10, 2013 7:56 am
The best code would be D7530 (removal of foreign body).

When billing for normal implant maintenance, i.e., cleaning the implants and the IS prosthesis we use code D6080. Where we are confused is how to properly bill for O-ring replacements done at the same time. How do we bill for the O-rings? If O-rings are also billed under D6080 would we bill D6080 twice, once charging for the regular maintenance and the other charging for the O-ring replacements separately? Is this the correct way to do it, or will it be denied? Thank you.

What is the difference between D9910 and D9911? Is there any supporting documentation typically required for submitting either code?
    Lee W June 29, 2022 1:53 pm
The doctor used D9911 and my insurance Cigna doesn't cover, I've to pay $1000. I was even not aware that insurance doesn't cover it. I'm wondering if the doctor can use D9910 instead which is covered by insurance.
