In the state of PA, can a dental hygienist bill for D0180 when a dentist is not present? This is a bit “urgent”, so I would appreciate any help or quick response. Thank you.

Private answer No, this is not within the scope of practice for a dental hygienist. The dentist must be present and review the documentation as well as add to the documentation to make this a valid billable code. Marked as spam
