Codes are as follows: Root planning and scaling will depend on how many teeth in the quadrant were scaled...you will either use D4341 for 4 or more teeth or D4342 one to three teeth. You must have the provider write a narrative based on the patient circumstance and documentation of "medical necessity" found in the patients chart.

Login to the members area and login to the classroom are completely separate, they are not the same and login to the classroom does not appear in your members area. Login information is given to you in a separate email from your instructor.

Except that D7550 is removal of sloughed off bone due to infection and blood supply. The RVUs assigned to this for payment do not constitute removal of a simple bone spur.

There is no specific code for furcation/bifurcation defect/repair the most appropriate code to use is D3999. You must submit a brief narrative with this code for reimbursement.

The code for the sectioning of the bridge is D9120 and depending on the type of extraction performed it is either D7140 or D7210

You must have permission from the patient to send or receive any information unless the patients life is in danger...see HIPAA rules for patient privacy.
