I am trying to code for an immediate full implant supported hybrid denture for an upper arch and I am unsure of which codes to use. The oral surgeon will be providing the implants and multiunit abutments and I will be providing the prosthesis. I believe CDT code D6078 is for the abutment supported fixed denture. I cannot find the code for the temporary immediate prosthesis. Is there a separate code? Are there other codes I need to be using for this case? Thank you in advance!

If we extract a root tip that was left behind by another provider, how would we bill for that? It is a permanent tooth. I know we would use D7111 for primary teeth, but I cannot find a code for that with permanent teeth. D7250 does not apply in our case because the procedure was not surgical. Is D7140 appropriate and if not what is the best code to use?

When modifying an existing denture to accommodate implants after implant surgery, we use code D5875. Our question however, is whether we should bill separately for the housing assembly portion that is imbedded in the retrofitted denture? It seems like in this case we should bill for the D5875 as well as D5862 (mini implants) or D6062 (full size implants)to cover the cost of the housings. Need your help. Thanks.

We are reducing the ridge on the mandible for a patient before we place a future implant. We would normally use the D7950 code when doing a ridge augmentation; however, the current CDT code book lists the code D7950 as a procedure for ridge augmentation or reconstruction TO INCREASE THE HEIGHT. And we will be reducing the height. Is there a better code we should be using?? Thank you

Good afternoon. My question for you is the following: I submitted a claim for code D2752 which is crown- porcelain fused to nobel metal. The submission was sent with an x-ray of the tooth (#29) and an explanation on why a crown was the best treatment. The insurance company is telling me the code is wrong and that I need to resubmit with code D2792 Crown- full cast nobel metal. Why do I hae to submit for a full cast when a porcelain crown was done? Have the codes changed? How do I resubmit this? Thank you for your prompt attention.
