The code that my client uses on a maximum basis is 9248 in conjunction with 9230. The total UCR for these is 295 and 55 respectively. They are mostly used together. So this puts my client in a situation that if they are covered, then he gets paid less, because usually the parent would pay out of pocket for these, and the whole procedure would make sense. Now with such a low fee, it does not make sense considering the stress involved. Is there any alternative way/ code(s) to charge for non-intravenous sedation using inhalation of Nitrous Oxide. Is there any scope of charging, using ASA (CPT) codes if the patient also has medical insurance coverage apart from dental coverage?1answer78views Can you bill for a 4342 for tooth #3 and 4341 of the upper right quad on the same day?1answer28views Thank you for your previous help. My doctor performs them often to reach decay under the gum line. Thanks for any input!!!1answer73views Can you explain how to appropriately use Z01.20 and Z01.21 as a replacement for V72.2. We do general dentistry. We have used V72.2(dental visit) for all of our visits. This code is straight forward if an dental exam and cleaning are being done. But, the confusing part is for different scenarios when a dental exam and cleaning are not being done. For example, patient presents for sealants only, an operative visit only, an extraction visit only, and stainless steel crowns. In all of these examples the patient is coming back to the office for work that is on their treatment plan, but an exam and cleaning are not being done as it says on the diagnosis code. Would Z01.20 & Z01.21 be appropriate to use in these situations? If not what would be an appropriate ICD 10 diagnosis code to use?1answer30views I am new at dental billing. I am trying to figure out how to post primary and secondary insurance payments but me predecessor didn't always post it the same way so I can't figure it out that way. In medical billing you take the insurance adjustment from the primary insurance and not the secondary insurance. When I tried to google how to apply the primary and secondary insurance payments I got various, conflicting answers. So my question is how am I supposed to post primary and secondary payments? Which adjustment am I supposed to use? « Previous 1 … 35 36 37 38 39 … 52 Next » Ask a Question
